Marking the end of high school, and the beginning of adulthood

Senior Portrait Photography

You've worked hard to get through school. When I create your senior portrait I'll also work hard to incorporate your personality, your interests and your accomplishments into your senior photos and create images that you'll be proud to have and share for years to come.

My goal is to build your senior portrait session around YOU – meaning whenever possible I'll incorporate your interests, your personality, hobbies, humor, whether you’re outgoing or reserved, and anything else I can to showcase the real you. By doing this you'll get photos that are unique to you, and not just photos that look like everyone else's.

Here in the Southeast your senior portrait can be created anytime throughout the year. So regardless if it's spring, summer, winter or fall, there's no better time than RIGHT NOW to get those senior portraits you've been wanting!

Studio Sessions

Indoor studio sessions can be the ideal location for your portrait for many reasons. First and foremost you don't have to worry about the weather. No matter if it's burning hot outside, freezing cold, or pouring rain your studio session can still go on as planned.

Lighting is another consideration. Unlike an outdoor shoot where the sun is the light source, studio lighting is fully adjustable so I can put just the right amount of light exactly where I need it. And good lighting is what makes a great photo.

Indoor studio sessions are perfect for capturing traditional yearbook type portraits. Because the lighting is fully controlled these types of photos can be quite flattering, particularly to female clients, as the end result often resembles a beauty headshot.

Indoor portraits can also make use of a variety of photographic backgrounds. You can checkout some of our available backdrops here. Keep in mind that not all studio photos need a background, and the studio does also have a brick wall that makes a great background.

On Location Sessions

Your portrait can also be created at a location of your choosing. This is ideal when you have a specific look in mind that cannot be achieved inside the studio. These sessions are also ideal for hobby, sports, and other activity related portraits.

Something A Little Different

Senior Portraits don't have to be you standing in a field holding a stalk of cotton. If it's your personality to live it up and have fun then this is the time to let that side of you shine through!

It's perfectly OK if you want your photos to be safe and be like everyone else's. But it's also OK if you don't. I enjoy working with seniors who don't feel the need to be like everyone else and who want to infuse their senior portrait with a little fun and excitement. My sessions allow you to break the traditional senior portrait mold and create an image that is totally unique to you and have fun while creating the playful, fun, or exciting image you've always wanted to be a part of!

After all, you've got the rest of your life to be serious. Why not have a little fun now while you can?

Choose whichever portrait type best fits your personality - or choose them both!

No matter what you choose my studio has sets, furnishings and looks to create the perfect Senior Portrait photo for you. There's plenty of props to embellish your look too, like hats, scarves, jewelry, clothing and shoes.

And I've got props for your outdoor and location portraits as well.

Hair and Makeup

Hair and makeup together have a crucial impact on the final look of your image, and can be the difference between taking home a breathtaking photograph or one that is just OK.

Female clients are highly encouraged to come to the session with professional level makeup already applied. Some people can do their own hair and makeup and make it look fantastic. Others cannot.

More about hair and makeup.

Beautiful Sets and Props

For indoor portraits my studio has various sets, furnishings and looks to create the perfect Senior Portrait photo for you. There's plenty of props to embellish your look too, like hats, scarves, jewelry, clothing and shoes.

I've got props for your outdoor and location portraits as well.

Want something out of the ordinary for your portrait? All types of fun and interesting looks are possible with the right makeup, wardrobe, and location. Bring your ideas and let's make them happen. I love creating images that are different and stand out from the rest!

Your Session

Your portrait session is your chance to shine. It is your chance to allow the essence of the real you to be captured in a way that you will cherish for many years to come.

This Portrait is no snapshot. It's no selfie. It is you as a work of art.

For studio sessions there is a changing room with vanity station where you can change up your hair or makeup in between looks if you like. Keep in mind that hair and makeup are critical to achieving a beautiful portrait. More information about hair and makeup.

For outdoor sessions I bring along a popup changing tent to give you privacy while changing looks. The changing tent is very convenient, and avoids the awkward changing clothes in a vehicle or driving around trying to find a restroom to change in, which takes away valuable shooting time.

Props (toys, musical instruments, hobby interests, sports equipment, etc) are not only welcome they are encouraged.

After Your Session

Around 7-10 days after your session your photos will be ready. I'll reach out so we can set a time for you to stop by the studio to pick up your fully edited digital photos.

While you are here you'll have the opportunity to review other photos from your session, and if you like you can purchase digital versions or print versions of any of those photos as well.
